Immunosuppressive ocular microenvironment where leukocytes that penetrate through the microvessels encounter immunomodulatory forces: pigmented epithelium of iris, ciliary body, retina, and AqH containing soluble immunosuppressive factors. T cells that enter this microenvironment acquire regulatory properties that suppress inflammation.
